Missouri School of Journalism Approves AgJ Field Reporting Course as J 8001 Topics Course
The graduate faculty of the Missouri School of Journalism has eased the way for graduate students at the J-School to gain journalism credit when they take "Field Reporting on Food and Natural Resources."
In a meeting April 27, the graduate faculty voted unanimously to approve listing the Ag Journalism 3201 Topics Course "Field Reporting on Food and Natural Resources" as a Journalism 8001 Topics Course.
The fall-semester course is run by the MU Agricultural Journalism Program in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources in cooperation with J-School.
Now in its second year, the course and its intensive, three-day field trip explore the vast scientific, economic and social changes under way in U.S. agriculture and their impact on the food supply and the environment.
The field trip is known as the Sonja Hillgren/Farm Journal Ag Journalism Field Reporting Institute.
