Torres Receives Honorary State FFA Degree
COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2008—Robert Torres of Columbia, Mo., was named an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient at the 80th Missouri FFA Convention.
Torres is a professor of agricultural education at the University of Missouri. He assists in coordinating FFA career development events He serves as a member of the consultants to the National FFA Board of Directors.
Torres is also a member of the National Board of Trustees and a member of several National FFA Task Forces. He serves on the National FFA Convention Site Selection committee, is a National Horse Career Event Superintendent and a National FFA Officer Adult Consultant.
Terry Receives Honorary State FFA Degree
COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2008—Robert Terry, Jr. of Columbia, Mo., was named an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient at the 80th Missouri FFA Convention.
Terry is agricultural education joint staff at University of Missouri. He assists with national, state and district career development events.
He serves as a consultant to the National FFA Board of Directors, a member of the National FFA Foundation Board of Trustees and a delegation member of the FFA Goodwill Tour of Japan.
About the FFA
The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients each year at its annual state convention for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisers, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, businessmen and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA while rendering outstanding service.
The Missouri FFA has 24,137 members representing 311 chapters. The national organization has more than 500,000 members representing 7,358 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands.
